As promised, a quick run-down of who's who in this crazy family of mine so you have a vague idea who the people I'm rabbiting on about are.

London Lee Yours truly, of course. The important one here!
Steph My lovely wife. Although we've never actually made it officially, but we've been together in one form or another since 2000
Bonnie My daughter from my first marriage. Shockingly normal, I blame her father. She's 25, she's a physiotherapist. She's married to Matthew and they have two children Emma and Penny
Sam Ex-husband. Bonnie's father
Bella, Clary and Ana the cats

That's the easy bit. Things get a little more complex when I introduce you to the following:
Connor my boyfriend. Well, we date 'casually' and have been doing so for almost 10 years
Spring Steph's girlfriend. They've been together for, gosh, 15 years? I know they started dating around the time I got divorced from Sam. She's dated other people as well (and still does, but nothing serious) but things are good with her and Spring. Spring, by the way, is lovely.
Raven My submissive. I've been doing awfully naughty things to her for 5 years
Joe My Dominant. He's been doing awfully naughty things to me for about 18 months.

So there we are, clear as mud, right? Any questions, just ask. I know it can be a little confusing at first - and yes, we have schedules!

comments

It's funny, I spent the afternoon writing my Dreamwidth profile, my intro post and my posts to a couple of different friending communities, trying to make myself sound as interesting as possible.

Yet if you were to look into our flat right now, you would see the picture of absolute normality. Steph is on one of the couches, a cat on her lap, the other on the back of the couch. I'm on the other couch, the third cat laying next to me. We're eating fish & chips, Steph's watching Strictly Come Dancing, I've been futzing around on Twitter and we're talking about what movie to watch or if we're going to have a tantalising game of scrabble.

Kingsman: The Secret Service is on at 9 and we both enjoy the movie so I'm tempted with that. Young Taron Egerton is cute and you can't go wrong with Colin Firth which are added bonuses for me. Not for Steph, she's a gay woman after all

There's a pint of Ben & Jerry's in the freezer as well that Steph says is calling her name. Hopefully I'll get more than a couple of spoonfuls, although Steph is very protective over the only two men she allows in her life

Tomorrow there's more excitement such as grocery shopping, laundry and vacuuming. I have a standing date, every other Sunday, with my sub Raven so that's my Sunday afternoon. OK that's a little more out of the ordinary compared to the 'normal' but other than we're planning a quiet weekend in.

(I should probably write a 'cast of characters' and introduce you properly to the people in my life, so you have a point of reference when I talk about them)

Just two middle-aged folks living their best lives. Or something like that.

comments
